Yes. For all trips outside South Africa (e.g., Mozambique, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Thailand, Bali, Zanzibar), a valid passport is required. Ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity before the trip and 2–3 empty pages for stamps.
You can still book your spot by paying the deposit. We’ll guide you through the passport application process to ensure it’s ready in time for your trip.
Absolutely! 💙 Many of our travelers come solo — it’s one of the best ways to meet new people and make lasting friendships. We’ll pair you with a same-gender roommate unless you request your own private room (available on selected trips at an additional cost).
Breakfast is included on most overnight trips. Lunches and dinners are usually at your own cost unless otherwise stated — we love giving travelers the freedom to explore local restaurants and cuisines.
For international and cross-border trips, travel insurance is highly recommended. It covers unexpected events like flight delays, medical emergencies, or lost luggage. We can guide you on how to get affordable coverage.
Once your deposit is confirmed, you’ll receive a Booking Confirmation via email or WhatsApp. Before departure, we’ll also share your final itinerary, checklist, and WhatsApp group invite for pre-trip updates.
Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made within 30 days of departure may incur full payment loss depending on the trip terms. However, you may be able to transfer your booking to another person (subject to approval).

Things to Know before Booking
Deposits Are Non-Refundable
Your deposit secures your seat, accommodation, and transport. Because we confirm bookings in advance, all deposits are non-refundable — even if you later decide not to travel.
Flexible Payment Plans
We make travel affordable! 💸
After paying your deposit, you can pay the remaining balance in easy installments up until the final due date (usually 30 days before the trip). Payment details and schedules will be shared after booking.
Limited Spaces — First Come, First Served
Each trip has limited spots to keep the experience comfortable and fun. Your booking is only confirmed once your deposit is paid and proof of payment is received.
Room Sharing Policy
Accommodation is based on 2 people per room sharing. If you’d like to have your own private room, you can request this at an additional cost (subject to availability).
Passports for Regional & International Trips
A valid passport is required for all trips outside South Africa. Make sure it has at least 6 months validity and 2–3 blank pages for stamps. If you don’t have one yet — no stress! You can still book and apply while paying off your trip.
Travel Insurance Is Recommended
Especially for international and cross-border trips (like Mozambique, Lesotho, or Thailand). Insurance protects you against flight delays, lost luggage, or medical emergencies.
Meals & Activities
Each trip includes specific meals and activities — listed under Inclusions. Anything not listed (like certain meals or optional activities) will be at your own cost.
Communication & Trip Updates
Once booked, you’ll be added to a WhatsApp group where we share all trip details, reminders, and updates. You’ll also receive your final itinerary before departure.
Respect & Vibe
All Travel Gen trips are safe spaces built on fun, community, and respect. We encourage good vibes, cooperation, and kindness throughout the experience — everyone is family here.
